This morning, when I went to work, I can barely see the highway and the cars passing by. The temperature is 45 degrees and it feels like Fall is coming. I just can't wait, I am so excited!

No Trees Yet!

Here Comes March!
March is one of the months I have been waiting for. Ask me why later. I don't want to spoil the upcoming events and I am going to share it here for sure. We started the first day of March staying home the whole day because of the extreme cold weather. I played scrabble with my friends online at Facebook. I had a bad connection because I am using dial-up for the mean time but everything went well afterward.
At 5PM, I started getting ready for church. The mass is at 6PM so we have to be there 5 minutes before it will start. I bundled myself up because it is so cold. The temperature was below zero. Few more days and it will be spring time! I just can't wait to savor the fresh air while looking at the trees and grasses turning green once again.

Snow Versus Rain
For two consecutive days, it rained. The temperature was above freezing. I thought that the rain will melt all the snow. But it didn't happen. The snow from last Thanksgiving is still here. After the rain, the water got frozen and made it very slick. It is just hard to drive in town. You will need a snow boots when you walk in the puddle.
Just imagine the combination of snow and rain in the road. It's very slick and dangerous to drive. After the rainfall, we had a sunshine for one day. Then there's a snow flurries or light snow for two days. We are back to cold temperature. I wish it's already springtime!

Above Freezing!
We enjoyed the weather today. I checked the temperature online and it says 28 degrees Fahrenheit with the picture of the sun shining. But the husband said, it is 64 degrees Fahrenheit in the sunshine when he checked the temperature outside the house. My husband enjoyed it and even had a slow walk outside after getting the mails from our mailbox. He went to the garage and check my car.
As for me? I didn't stay long. You would probably think why I didn't stay long outside the house and enjoy the nice weather. I was online the whole day playing scrabble online. I had fun. Tomorrow, I will go to a birthday party of a little girl. I wish I will enjoy the food. I guess I will be busy this coming weekend. How about you guys? Did you enjoy the nice weather today?

Icy Darkness
As usual, I woke up late again today. I can hear the wind whistling. My husband was watching the news when I came to the living room. It is snowing outside. I can feel the chill in the air and the wind whistle. A winter storm dumped about 5 inches of snow in our area. We are lucky that we didn't lose power. I just don't know what to do when there's no power, meaning to say that I don't have internet, no TV and all. It is just scary to think.
I heard in the news that with temperatures plunging, utility officials warned that it could be mid-February before electricity is restored to some of the hardest-hit places. The worst of the power failures were in Arkansas, Kentucky and Ohio. My husband called his son in Kentucky and he said that the storm wasn't really bad where he lives. I hope it stops snowing tonight so we can go somewhere tomorrow.

Bored and Restless
The boredom strikes again! For some people like me who lives in Northern Midwest, life here in the winter time is very depressing. It's a long winter days and nights, the snow never melts. The sun rarely shines. And we are preparing for our third blizzard tonight. You can't get out of the house and you can't see across the street.
Earlier today, my husband plowed the driveway because tonight and tomorrow we will get an additional 10 inches of snow. So you think it is cool living in the snow? You have to give it a try. My friends back home are telling me how cool I am experiencing the snow. But they really don't understand how miserable it really is. Tell me what you think!

Snow it Baby!
The husband was patient enough to plow the snow from the driveway with his old tractor. And I am telling you that it wasn't easy being out in a cold weather. Aren't you going to ask me what I did while the husband was out? I was in-front of my computer doing EC dropping and visiting my friend's blog site. What a lazy butt I got! After facing the computer, I made my part as a homemaker. I did cook for our lunch and pampered my husband with all my love and care.

A New Beginning
Now that this is the second day of the first month of the year 2009, I have so many things in mind. Still, the temperature didn't change for a while. We are still below zero degrees. Gosh! I can't even enjoy my winter time. I told myself before winter will start, I am going to enjoy the whole winter. But the weather will not cooperate with me. Give me a break! I have been a prisoner of our own home. My husband has been complaining as we can't go anywhere. Is this the new life we have chosen?

We can't go out of the house because we have 4-feet of snow. The snow is piled up around our house, and it looks like an igloo. They are forecasting that there will be more snow and very cold weather. We really want to go South. All we can do is eat, sleep, cuddle with each other and watch TV. Our life has never been boring like this!

Cold and Heavy Rain
I am already done paying the bills and they are ready to be mailed on Monday, first thing in the morning. There are few campers coming in the campground so there are less work for me to do except answering queries and some phone calls that are important for the business. I should be working also for the sales tax form as it will be mailed as soon as the campground will close on October 15. Time for my vacation and hope to enjoy the winter time again with my loving husband - Winn. I know there's more things to do and I hope there's more energey for us to stay and enjoy the winter be it in Kentucky or North Dakota.
