Girls Talk: Fave Gift!

As I join Girls Talk for the second time, I can't help myself on what to think about my favorite birthday gift. I turned 27 last September 29 and the picture above top everything. My mom's birthday card. It was so nice to think that my mother sent me a birthday card with a meaningful message inside. Usually, I always get a text message from her like, "Happy birthday, anak. I love you!" But this one is so different. I just can't wait to spend more time with my mother when I get home next year (hopefully!).

God Wants Me To Know...

On this day of your life, Hazel, we believe God wants you to know ... that there is no such thing as conditional love.
In God We Trust
Love is either unconditional or it's no love. You might like someone conditional on their personality or behavior or circumstances. But love accepts no boundaries. So never say 'I love you because', for love has no cause, love comes from God.

Manic Monday #189

You have a brain tumor. Though there is no discomfort at the moment, this tumor would unquestionably kill you in six months. However, your life can (and will) be saved by an operation; the only downside is that there will be a brutal incision to your frontal lobe. After the surgery, you will be significantly less intelligent. You will still be a fully functioning adult, but you will be less logical, you will have a terrible memory, and you will have little ability to understand complex concepts or difficult ideas. The surgery is in two weeks.

How do you spend the next fourteen days?

::: I will enjoy the next 14 days as a traveler! Wherever I go, I know I love what I am doing. :::

Every person you have ever slept with is invited to a banquet where you are the guest of honor. No one will be in attendance except you, the collection of your former lovers, and the catering service. After the meal, you are asked to give a fifteen-minute speech to the assembly.

What do you talk about?

::: Everything and anything that the other guest would love to hear from me. My adventures and some inspiring thoughts. :::

You have won a prize. The prize has two options, and you can choose either (but not both). The first option is a year in Europe with a monthly stipend of $2,000. The second option is ten minutes on the moon.

Which option do you select?

::: Are you kidding me?! I always loved to go to Europe! I love to discover everything and anything in Europe! :::

On This Day...

On this day of your life, Hazel, we believe God wants you to know ... that humans learn only by trial and error, and that includes you.
In God We Trust
You've got to live life, not think about it. Step into the midst of things, try and fail and learn and stand up again. The question is not whether you will or will not make mistakes - you will. The question is do you want to learn and grow, or do you want to shrink back and be stuck? Take that step you've been avoiding. You can succeed, or you can get feedback that it didn't work, but in either case you are sure to feel alive.

Girls Talk: Favorite Pastime

Hmmm, let me think what is my favorite pastime. I would say, watching movies! I got this great deal from Netflix.com and I can watch movie instantly in my own space using my computer. How cool is that? Then here comes Facebook who got all my attention. I can play any games in Facebook plus, connect and chat with my friends back home. It's beyond cool!

How Do You Tell the Truth?

You Are Honest and Open

You are a very honest person,
yet you somehow avoid being brutally honest with people.

You know that the truth often does hurt,
so you try to cushion the blow as much as possible.
And because of your approach, people do appreciate your honesty.

You're the type of person who complements before you criticize.
You try to put the truth in perspective and make it seem not so dire.

And whenever you're stating your opinion,
you make it clear that it's just that ... your point of view.
You can only speak your own personal truth.

Manic Monday #187

Most of the U.S. observed Daylight Savings Time yesterday. Is it easy or difficult for you to switch your body clock? Do you suffer from jet lag when traveling?

::: Yes it is. Especially now that we are here in Hawaii for the winter time. I had a hard time adjusting to the time difference and my body clock feels like I am still in Central time. :::

If you had to pick one place in your town to bring a tourist, where would you go?

::: Medora, North Dakota. I want them to experience the life in the Northwest. :::

When you travel away from home, do you miss it?

::: Yes I do. I always miss home and the people especially my family and friends. I can be away from home not missing it but sometimes, I think of it. :::
