I did not meet my husband until I went to college. We were both students at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I was in nursing school, and he was a finance major in the business school. We used to study at the same coffee shop, and that is where I met him when he accidentally spilled coffee on a textbook I had out on my table. I guess it was love at first sight, although I have always been suspicious of him spilling the coffee. I think he did it on purpose. Anyway, we got married a month after our graduation from college. We decided that we really loved Tulsa, Oklahoma, and ended up buying a house and settling down there. Married life is a lot different than when we were single and only had to worry about studying and deciding where would go out after a game. Most of the time now we watch games on direct tv Tulsa. After working all day, who has time or the energy to go out like we used to? Back in the day, I could take a nap in the middle of the day which would keep me charged up enough to stay awake into the early hours of the morning. But when you have to work for a living, there is no time to take a nap. I really do miss those good old days.

Post New Year Celebration

My friend and I celebrated with a nice toast of champagne after the New Year. She was able to visit me after working the night of New Year's Eve. We had so much that we didn't mind about the time. We talked the whole night and took a lot of photos. Just me and her. It was a day celebrating our friendship together.

I hope that this holiday season is better than the last years Christmas fiasco. I have never been the type of person to stress about the holidays but after last year I can safely say that I know what a bad holiday looks like. My mom was sick the entire Christmas season with the flu, which was caught by everyone that came to visit us. My wife was pregnant at the time and was constantly complaining about feeling discomfort and not being able to get a good night sleep. However, the one bright spot that came from the entire holiday season was the fact that with all the people we had visiting us we knew that it would that we should probably update our basic cable package to satellite TV, we were simple referred to www.Direc4U.com and our probably was instantly solved. So, today is the last day at work. It's getting chilly up here, in this part of United States. I'm ready to fly in a place where it's warm and I can still enjoy the beauty of fall. The trees around the campground are out of leaves, the wind blew them away and now trees are bald.

Fall is one of my favorite seasons. I love the changing colors and the breezy air where I can just cuddle up and read my Kindle. Pretty soon, we will start traveling and I get to see my only friend in Texas. I am just ready to go home and enjoy the rest of the fall.

I can still remember my first driving lesson I took back home. I was in my early twenties. I couldn't imagine my face that I was actually driving right there and then. And yes, I was nervous. Everything is nice and basically offers just about everything a car should have. We didn't do the car shopping in one day. We visited several dealers. I have been planning an anniversary getaway. It won't be long now that my husband and I will be celebrating our wonderful marriage of four years. We still don't have any idea where to go, what to do and how to do it. We originally planned on visiting our favorite paradise destination but it would be so tight on our schedule since I am working in the campground and my hands are tied at work for fourteen hours, seven days a week. I really need that anniversary getaway to get going but the thing is, we still have to see how much money we could get so we can have fun while spending our anniversary.

My husband and I suggested that we should also check about payday loans if it will not hurt our budget after we get back from our vacation. He asked me if we can just bring a little money so we don't have to worry about paying what we owe when we get back. I would say, he's right. But I should also consider that planning this anniversary getaway would mean a memorable celebration because we just do not celebrate our marriage, we celebrate our love, happiness and amazing partnership through the years. So, I'm still thinking about the payday loans if it would be necessary to get one.

You see, we just don't plan our anniversary getaway right to the last minute. We take a lot of extra time on decision making. We don't want to end up broke after the getaway. Besides, we can celebrate it in a simple way without spending too much on everything. Maybe someday, when we have enough money to do it, we will celebrate it full blast and we're going to have fun! I mean, really in a good way since my husband and I are both travelers. It would be a lovely celebration for sure! At least we know that payday loans would help us to get some money at our own convenience when we needed it the most.

I'm what you could call a planner. I'm not too big on surprises and hate to be caught in a situation that I'm not completely prepared for. It just doesn't fly too well with me. Well, now that I'm planning on rushing to get into a sorority this school year, I'm doing the research to make sure that I'm successful in it. A big of that, from what I've heard, is clothing.

I've been doing quite a bit of research on what exactly I should do and wear during rush for the best results. Over the years it's been a little tougher for me to enjoy my vacations as much as I used to because I love to go on historical tours. Now for someone who's hearing isn't so great, it would be a little tough to enjoy all these historical tours when you can't hear the tour guides.

Once I moved, I knew I needed to get mobile internet so I could keep up with my favorite show, Sixteen and Pregnant. I don’t know what it is, but I really love that show! I checked out some good Sacramento Clearinternet deals and just like that, I was back online. You know, I really like most of MTV’s programming as a whole, but this particular show really spoke to me. It’s really interesting seeing the plight of these young mothers and I like having a bird’s eye view into their lives.

I’ve always liked reality TV but this show somehow seems different from all the others, mostly because it offers a subtle message. Sixteen and Pregnant has even made me think about volunteering at a local high school to talk to kids about the tough things they face in high school. They vary greatly and some people prefer to have as many pets as they can. One way to get to know different kinds of pets is through animal shows. After moving to America I have found one of the greatest shows on earth is Jeopardy. Hosted by Alex Trebeck, this show has been in the American conscious for years but being from India it was new to me. It's an amazing trivia show that always makes people use their brains to figure out the answers to questions on a variety of subjects. My family always watches Jeopardy on our satellite TV Indian channels during the weekends.

Jeopardy features questions on some of the most fascinating subjects. It is a great family show to watch, because typically every person will know the answers to a particular set of questions. It is hilarious to see some of my kids know that answers to pop culture questions, while my husband and I excel at the questions surrounding American history. For example, one time my kids knew the entire lyrics to pop culture songs by artists like P. Diddy and Rihanna, while my husband and I were naming the laws passed in America during the year 2000. We were cracking up to see how all of us ended up with the same score, even though our areas of knowledge were very obviously different!

It is so much fun to plan one night of the week to come together as a family and watch Jeopardy. There is nothing much sweeter in life than watching an educational program together that is actually entertaining and thrilling to watch and participate in!

I haven't posted anything lately and I got tied up at work. Everything is pretty hectic at work and I haven't blogging for a while. This time, I am going to share some photos on what we did during the Baby Shower party. The venue was held at Jamestown Campground. We had a lot of fun, lots of food to eat and fun games that we enjoyed so much.

The photo above was one of the games we played. It is called Find the Safety Pins. The materials needed are large bowl, long grain rice, safety pins (small or medium) and blindfold. What I did was to fill the bowl with rice and put about 50 safety pins. Each participant from the baby shower was blindfolded for 1 minute and let the participant feel around in the bowl to see how many safety pins they can get. You would not believe how hard it is to tell the difference of the safety pin and the rice.

The photo above was a fun game. This baby shower game gets everyone laughing! The materials are baby bottles with Milk or any alternate drink. We used sprite and coke. Each participant took a bottle filled with a liquid and suck the bottle as a baby would. The woman who drinks the most in an allotted time wins the baby shower gift. The mistake we did for this game was, we used pop as the alternate drink. The participants complained that it wasn't a good idea. So next time, we will use milk or juice. We all had fun!

Formal Dining Set

My friends and I had a wonderful get-together at the Baby Shower Party last Saturday. We had so much fun. Everyone was really happy. Everyone was talking about planning another get-together at one's house. I am sure that this is going to be a great time for all of us. One friend of ours is renovating their house. We were talking about our favorite place around the house and mine is the dining room. I would like to have a nice and formal Dining Room Furniture. I like something English countryside inspired and beautifully expressed in fine furniture just like dining set shown in the photo below.

The China Cabinets are just perfect to what I am looking for. It was carefully crafted for a timeless treasure and definitely perfect for my beautiful house. Now, all I have to do is make a decision if I will get the long table or the Round Dining Table. It is just me and my husband together and making a room for more furniture will be a great idea. I just can't wait to decorate my own beautiful house very soon. I just love it!

Recently, I had a heart to heart talk with my boss about getting new furniture for the campground office. It would be nice if we change the old and rusty furniture we had in the office. He listened and agreed to the changes. We need things that would make everything easy and fast. I should start cleaning my desk and throw all the things that need to be change. We need new Office Supplies for the campground office.

I am already browsing the internet and searching for the best Office Furniture that I could fine. I am looking for a nice filing cabinet to keep important documents and store unused office supplies for future use. With some luck, I found the best one that will look good in the campground office. There's more to change but will do it step by step to create a beautiful office for the campground. We need nice Home Office Furniture to attract customers. I am all excited for the change and I believe it is going to be a nice place to work with other people. It was nice to know that my boss listened and he's open to any changes. After all, it was for our own good, I mean it's good for the business.

The weather today is gloomy. Been watching the weather news and it is not the usual weather report I have been wanting to hear. The temperature today is 49 degrees. I want sunshine! But who am I to complain? I should be thankful for this kind of weather because it is not that too hot nor too cold. The wind is blowing and gives me a chilly feeling.

Meet Our New Puppy

I am so happy to know that my sister back home got a new white puppy. She named the cute puppy Yam-Yam. As long as I can remember, we got three (3) big dogs back home and I named them Japan, Diyes, and Batik. They are all sweet and playful. As long as I can remember, they all gathered in one spot while waiting for us to arrived. They all come to us and meet us in the middle of the road. Oh how I miss them so much. Unfortunately, two (2) of them passed away. It is so sad to know when your pets are gone after you took care of them for a long time.

Recently, my sister got a new pup and posted a photo in her Facebook. It's a spotted puppy! She is so adorable and they all love her. She feeds the puppy some hotdogs, rice with milk and beef steak. I know, I know, she's just a mutt but when you have given your love to an adorable pup, how can you feed her with scraps, right? I cannot wait to meet Yam-Yam in person. I know for sure that I am going to fell in-love with her. See you soon, Yam-Yam!

Every year, I am looking forward on the celebration of the Holy Week. I miss the Catholic way of celebrating Holy Week back home. Although they practice it here in America, I still like the way they do it there. It was a big part of my life growing up.

"Holy Week is the week which precedes the great festival of the Resurrection on Easter Sunday, and which consequently is used to commemorate the Passion of Christ, and the event which immediately led up to it. I was watching the Fox News this morning when I heard that actress Lindsay Lohan is suing financial company E-Trade for $100 million. Remember the E-Trade ad (video below), which debuted during this year's Super Bowl in February, a baby boy apologizes to his girlfriend for not calling her the night before. Lindsay Lohan filed the lawsuit Monday, which claims the ad violated the star's rights under New York state civil-rights law.

When I got the Apple iPod touch last Valentine's Day, I was thinking where can I download free songs. I have been asking my friends who got an iPod touch where they get their songs. I am not musically inclined but I love to sing at the shower room. Just recently, my friend got a new laptop and she wants to download songs from her laptop. She asked for a help. I helped her how to do it on her laptop. I searched on MP3 Search Engine and from there, it gave us so many things to consider. We were so happy that it wasn't hard to do it. All we have to do is follow the process and now, we are enjoying the songs we downloaded. Though, I still have to ask my sister what are the hit songs playing today. I need to catch up on the days I missed listening to the music industry.

6 Easy Slim-Down Strategies

Losing weight is about a series of small steps--one less dessert here, an extra 10 minutes on the elliptical there--plus smart lifestyle moves that continually inch you closer to your goals. But like any change, try to do everything at once and you could wind up feeling deprived and deflated (and not in the good way). So instead of vowing to cut calories AND exercise 7 days a week AND forsake ice cream and pizza for the rest of your life, start out with a few of these research-proven tricks that can help you drop pounds. Once you've mastered one, add in another; before you know it you'll see results on the scale--no drastic changes required.

1) Weigh yourself daily

Why It Works: Weekly weigh-ins are a staple of many popular weight loss programs, but some studies show that daily weighing can be key to lasting weight loss. When researchers at the University of Minnesota monitored the scale habits of 1,800 dieting adults, they found that those who stepped on every day lost an average of 12 pounds over 2 years (weekly scale watchers lost only 6) and were less likely to regain lost weight. Step on the scale first thing every morning, when you weigh the least. Expect small day-to-day fluctuations because of bloating or dehydration, but if your weight creeps up by 2% (that's just 3 pounds if you weigh 150), it's time to skip dessert.

2) Keep TV viewing under 2 hours a day

Why It Works: TV junkies miss out on calorie-burning activities like backyard tag with the kids; instead, they become sitting ducks for junk-food ads. One study found that adults who watch more than 2 hours of TV per day take in 7% more calories and consume more sugary snacks than those who watch less than an hour a day. Wean yourself off the tube by introducing other activities into your life. Eliminate the temptation to watch between-show filler by recording your must-see programs so you can fast-forward through the ads. Or subscribe to a mail-order DVD service like Netflix, and make a movie the only thing you watch all day.

3) Eat 4 g of fiber at every meal

Why It Works: A high-fiber diet can lower your caloric intake without making you feel deprived. In a Tufts University study, women who ate 13 g of fiber or less per day were five times as likely to be overweight as those who ate more fiber. Experts see a number of mechanisms through which fiber promotes weight loss: It may slow down eating because it requires more chewing, speed the passage of food through the digestive tract, and boost satiety hormones. To get 25 g of fiber a day, make sure you eat six meals or snacks, each of which contains about 4 g of fiber. For to-go snacks, buy a piece of fruit; it's handier than vegetables, so it's an easy way to up your fiber intake. One large apple has just as much fiber (5 g) as a cup of raw broccoli.

4) Sleep at least 7 hours a night

Why It Works: A University of Chicago study found that people deprived of Zzzs had lower levels of the hormones that control appetite. "The research suggested that short sleep durations could be a risk factor for obesity," says James Gangwisch, Ph.D., an epidemiologist from Columbia University Medical Center. Sure enough, his follow-up study of 9,588 Americans found that women who slept 4 hours or less per night were 234% more likely to be obese. The key number for most people is 7 hours or more a night, he says, so set an early bedtime and stick to it.

5) Drink 8 glasses of water per day

Why It Works: Water is not just a thirst quencher--it may also speed the body's metabolism. Researchers in Germany found that drinking two 8-ounce glasses of cold water increased their subjects' metabolic rate by 30%, and the effect persisted for 90 minutes. One-third of the boost came from the body's efforts to warm the water, but the rest was due to the work the body did to absorb it. "When drinking water, no calories are ingested but calories are used, unlike when drinking sodas, where additional calories are ingested and possibly stored," explains the lead researcher, Michael Boschmann, M.D., of University Medicine Berlin. Increasing water consumption to 8 glasses per day may help you lose about 8 pounds in a year, he says, so try drinking a glass before meals and snacks and before consuming sweetened drinks or juices.

6) Stick to an 8-hour workday

Why It Works: A University of Helsinki study of 7,000 adults found that those who'd packed on pounds in the previous year were more likely to have logged overtime hours. Lack of time for diet and exercise is most likely the cause, but it's also possible that work stress has a direct effect on weight gain through changes in hormones like cortisol. Set firm limits on your workday so that when you're done, you still have the oomph to take a bike ride and cook a healthy dinner. To help you stay productive enough to finish on time, set an hourly alarm; when it goes off, deal with your most pressing duties.

The 44th Super Bowl

Yesterday, we went to our friend's place in Chandler to see the Super Bowl game - Indianapolis Colts and New Orleans Saints. Saints defeated Colts by 14 points. Our friends prepared a lot of food. We brought pizza and chicken hot wings from Papa John's and they prepared brownies, vegetable, chips and dips, fruit salad and chili beans.

We were full even before the game started. We are all rooting for the Saints to win. While watching the game, the Colts got their first three points and touchdowns. But we did not lose hope until luck for the Saints came and their touchdowns keep on coming on and on. The Saints won the 44th Super Bowl and Drew Brees got the MVP award!

My husband and I enjoyed are winter travels. Two weeks ago, we were in Hawaii and we just love the tropical weather. We were out most of the time enjoying our time in the park and driving around the Big Island. I guess, spending three months in Hawaii is enough for us to see the beauty of the islands. We were spoiled by the tropical weather and the fresh produce everyday! The people are so nice and very friendly.

Now, we are back in the mainland and enjoying our travels down south. We love the weather here in Texas! It's been one week and five days since we got here and it feels like we already know where to go around. I guess, I owe it to my husband who is the driver and of course to myself who is the navigator! Who could ever imagine that we are back in the state of Texas for the second time?

Last summer (June 2009), our house in Kentucky was sold. It was a stressful year for me and my husband because we are paying double utility bills, insurance and the mortgage payment. The housing market was really down and there are a lot of bank foreclosures and people can hardly get a job. It was a devastated experience. Hopefully, the year of 2010 will be a good luck for us. I have a lot of things to be thankful. We are so lucky that we don't have to pay double bills anymore.

This year, people are looking on a brighter side. They are hoping for a better future for them and for their family. I heard from our previous Realtor that the housing market is going back up. That is a good sign for a better year. Searching a property can be a tiring job but you don't have to stress yourself because there are helpful Realtor that are willing to help you and guide you to get your dream house. If you are in search of real Property Manager in Columbus, get some help. Don't do it all by yourself. You can always compare different houses and get personal advice from your Realtor and it will always be their pleasure to help you get a new home.

Girls Talk: First Date

My first date was taken at Sunflower fast food restaurant, a local fast food in my hometown. It was just a casual date actually, we were just talking about things that we like and we don't like. I was working at Greenwich as a service crew. The first date wasn't that long because we both have to go back to work. We were both working in Greenwich! I was in college at that time and he was too. I can say, that my first date wasn't that memorable as we didn't do that much.

We left our place in Hilo, Hawaii around 6:10 PM. Our newly found friend, Ellen came by and offered help to take us at the airport. Our flight going to Honolulu, Hawaii was around 8:21 PM. Luckily, there were no delays and we were on board on time at Hawaiian Airlines. We landed at Honolulu International Airport around 9:10 PM. While waiting for our flight going to Seattle, I checked my Facebook to see if there's something new about my friends. I can't check my Barn Buddy farm as my BlackBerry Tour doesn't support the Facebook games. Wishing I have an iPhone! Luckily, I have my Nintendo DSi to entertain me.

We boarded around 12:00 AM - our flight going to Seattle. We landed at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport around 6:35 AM (Pacific Time). My husband grabbed coffee and a chocolate donut and I got Vanilla Cinnamon Latte and cream cheese Danish at Seattle's Best Coffee. Our flight to Minneapolis will be around 12:30 PM and I am getting tired waiting over. I am irritated, I am tired and I am sleepy! This is the longest layover (about (6 hours) I have ever had. Can't wait for my next trip down South! So excited!

The Card Machine

When my husband and I started the campground business, we were looking for a reasonable credit card machine that will cater our business needs. Campers usually pay in cash or use their credit card to pay for everything. About 85% use their credit cards and 15% pays cash or check. We pay a huge amount for card processing every month and basically we pay about $650 a month for merchant service charge. Maybe if we look for more options, we can find the best deal in merchant credit card processing services without paying a large amount of money to our merchant company. We can have a bigger savings and we can do a lot with the money we save. When we finished the contract with merchants credit card, we will find a new and cheaper one.

I don't usually make my New Year's Resolution as they are always forgotten when I make it but I know I am a good girl. I know what are my responsibilities and limitations (when it comes to shopping). But there's only one thing I wanted to change - I will not play too much games in Facebook as I will be concentrating more on working my ass out and earn money this summer.

I will still be in the blogging business once in a while but not present all the time. I want to spend more time with my husband alone while I am working. I thank God for giving us a blessed, fruitful and prosperous years that we have been together. Happy New Year everyone!

It's Girls Talk time! I love this meme every Thursday. I always make sure that I am following every theme every Thursday.

It's been 3 consecutive years since I celebrated Christmas here in the United States. I will always say that nothing can beat the Christmas celebration in the Philippines. Although, some families here in the U.S. prepare their food for Christmas dinner and have fun all night long but being away from my mother and sisters wouldn't even complete my real Christmas celebration.

Back home, we don't exchange gifts as long as we share and eat the food we prepared. There's Christmas carolers, the Simbang Gabi, the Christmas party and all. I wish I am home. Merry Christmas everyone!

Have you seen the TV show, The Secret Life of the American Teenager? The show focuses on the relationships between families and friends and how they deal with the unexpected teenage pregnancy and must deal with juggling motherhood and high school life while her family and friends experience relationship challenges of their own. It is a hard experience especially when the teenager girl is not ready to take care of a newborn baby and doesn't know what will happen to her and the baby's future.

Pregnant teenagers face many of the same obstetrics issues as women in their 20's and 30's. There are additional medical concerns for younger mothers particularly those under 15 years old and those living in developing countries. There's a risk factor about Teen Pregnancy and It's Effects that may be associated with socioeconomic factors. The reason of lack of prenatal care is usually delayed pregnancy testing, denial or even fear of telling others about their pregnancy. It is a horrible feeling. My friend in college got pregnant when she's 18 years old. I may not know what she went through but I am happy that her whole family supported her own ordeal. Now, her little boy is growing so fast and very active.

My sister who works as a bank teller told me that she's tired counting money of their client. I asked her, what you will do if you will resign from your job. I mean, don't get me wrong, the bank where she's working pays her well with good benefits. What else can she ask for? She then replied that she wants to count her own money, not somebody else. And so she suggested starting her own retail business.

It might be a good idea but starting a business can be so demanding. You need to file a lot of paperwork - legal papers, taxes, business license and all. She needs to come up a study what is her target market and how her target market will attract her business. I am a graduate of Business Management and I will help her to come up with everything she needs. I know she will love it. I might be able to get some help from Texas Corporation on how starting a business works. Getting a professional help won't hurt a budget as long as everything is done right. With this help, everything will be possible and it is always nice to do business with the people that help you start your own business.
