What Girl Scout Cookie Are You?

I am a cookie monster. I love eating cookies and it is the number one thing that should be in the cart while we go grocery shopping. I took this test on What Girl Scout Cookie Am I.

You Are Peanut Butter Sandwiches

You are easy going and naturally happy.

You don't need a lot to make you smile.

You genuinely care about people and are a great friend.

You're always doing your best to make the world a better place.

Even though there isn't an immature bone in your body,

you still are like a big kid sometimes.

Why make life complicated when the best parts are actually quite simple?

You enjoy the small joys of life.

Marie Antoinette Award

This is a unique award I suppose, as this is different from the awards I got. Thanks to Grace - The Beauty Within for this award. Thanks for remembering me. You are such a sweet friend.

Queen Marie Antoinette was born on November 2, 1755 in Vienna, Austria. She was the youngest and most beautiful daughter of Francis Stephen I and Maria Theresa, Emperor and Empress of the Holy Roman Empire. Marie Antoinette was brought up believing her destiny was to become queen of France. She married the crown prince of France in 1770. Four years later she became queen when her husband was crowned King Louis XVI (House of Bourbon).

Kids At Play

When I went snow skiing 3 weeks ago, there were kids who's better than me. It was my first time to experience skiing and I must say that I had fun. It was full of fun and exciting moments while I was doing it. After skiing, I took a snapshot of this kids playing in the snow. They look cute and happy while playing.

Are You City or Country?

I am a city girl! I grew up in a small city of Zamboanga and I have lived in the big city of Makati and worked in Ortigas. But when I married my American husband, we lived in a country area since I came here. I can be a city or a country girl. I like peaceful and quiet place.

You Are City

You prefer big lights and big dreams over the slow paced life of the country.

You crave excitement, and the city has many opportunities for you.

While you appreciate the peace and quiet of the country, it's a little too quiet.

You need lots people, culture, and action to feel truly alive.

A Couch Potato

My husband loves to see me shopping around and he patiently waits for me. He doesn't like to follow me around while shopping because he will get dizzy. I am a one wise shopper! I go around and dig the best that I can find with an affordable price. Sometimes, I splurge on things but not too much. I know my limits as I don't want to end up broke after shopping.

I want to share a picture of my husband patiently waiting for me at the mall. The couch at the mall is his best friend while I am away shopping. Thank you, hubby!

Love 105

Hello everybody! How are you? How's your Valentine's Day celebration? I am sure you had a blast and enjoyed your loved one's gift and shopping spree. I did enjoy our time too, although we celebrated it last Thursday, two days before the actual Valentine's Day.

Anyway, I just want to share this photo taken last Valentine's Day 2007 at Loboc River, Bohol, Philippines. We spent the whole Valentine's Day touring Bohol and had a great lunch, buffet style in this boat. It was both our first time visiting Bohol and it was a blast, memorable and interesting trip we had.

6 Weird Things Tag

People can be weird sometimes. Just like anyone else, I have weird things to share too. I grabbed this tag from pretty Umma - Happy Moments, Happy Thoughts.

RULES: People who get tagged need to write a blog post of 6 weird things about them as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names. Don't forget to leave a comment that says "you are tagged" in their comments and tell them to read your blog.

1. I take my time to eat orange.
  • It's not that I am picky with my food or any fruits that I eat. I just take my time to clean and pick the inner skin of the orange. I clean them first before eating them. It make take minutes or an hour before I can finish eating a one whole orange.

2. Liver spread sandwich.
  • As you all know, I posted about the Chicken Livers with Onions and that I don't eat any pork, beef and chicken livers. But I have eaten liver spread sandwich once in my life and I thought it was bad but it was really delicious.

3. I love coffee.
  • Some people are coffeeholic and some are not. I love coffee but I don't drink it everyday. I also crave for coffee sometimes. I love Starbucks!

4. I collect books/novels.
  • I like collecting interesting novels. My favorite authors are John Grisham and Danielle Steele. After buying them, it will take me a long time before I will read them. All of my books are new. Recently, I purchased 3 of John Grisham's novels.

5. I love to sleep a lot.
  • Yes, I am person who sleeps a lot. I can sleep more than 15 hours a day. I just love to sleep. I can be the laziest person I can be.

6. I am a sauce person.
  • In all the food I eat, I usually have a sauce. According to my husband, I eat more sauces than my usual food. I just cannot eat with a dry food on my plate.

Now it is your turn! What are the 6 weird things about you? Let me know what are they. Enjoy!

Our Valentine's Date

Looking forward for Valentine's Day makes me very excited. Of course, who doesn't feel that way? Celebrating Valentine's Day is just one of the special occasions that me and Winn always look forward to. We make plans ahead of time. We had snow flurries and this weekend will be a bad weather so we decided to celebrate Valentine's Day two days before February 14. I was a little bit scared about the weather last Thursday, February 12. The road got black ice and the tires are shaky because of frozen tires. We have to stopped two times just to fix it. The husband was already upset.

I thought that our date will be put in jeopardy because of the weather. But then, the husband fixed the problem - it was a simple build up of ice on the wheels. We started our Valentine's date with a simple breakfast at Ihop. There were snow flurries in downtown Fargo. But that didn't stop us enjoying our date. We went to the mall for my shopping spree. I don't mind not having bouquet of flowers on Heart's Day as long as I get a treat on shopping. We had a delicious dinner at Red Lobster after a long day of shopping.

Not At My Desk

I have been away from the blogosphere for few days. I know that some of you are paying me a visit and leaving me some sweet messages. I really appreciate it. I haven't back to my senses yet for blog hopping much and EC dropping. I know that I have to do it as soon as possible to pay you a visit and drop EC to your blog site.

There are several opportunities that I declined to write and ignored for few days now too. I just don't have the energy and passion to grab them and write a review. I want to take this opportunity to thank you all for visiting my site and dropping EC on both blogs I have. Thank you guys, you are the best! I promise that I will visit your blogs as soon as I get back on my senses.

Love 104

Are you all ready for tomorrow? Valentine's Day is such a lovely celebration for all couples, friends and even for loveless ones. It is just a matter of how we want to do it, how to celebrate it and where to celebrate it. There are many ways how we celebrate the Valentine's Day. As a matter of fact, my husband and I will celebrate our Valentine's Day today. I am so excited!

Snow Versus Rain

For two consecutive days, it rained. The temperature was above freezing. I thought that the rain will melt all the snow. But it didn't happen. The snow from last Thanksgiving is still here. After the rain, the water got frozen and made it very slick. It is just hard to drive in town. You will need a snow boots when you walk in the puddle.

Just imagine the combination of snow and rain in the road. It's very slick and dangerous to drive. After the rainfall, we had a sunshine for one day. Then there's a snow flurries or light snow for two days. We are back to cold temperature. I wish it's already springtime!

Your flaws are part of what's lovable about you.

Star Struck in Thailand

with John Lloyd Cruz

When Winn, my fiance then (my husband now) visited me for the third time in the Philippines, we took a one week vacation to Bangkok, Thailand. I furnished everything from our airline tickets to hotel accommodations prior to his arrival. While we were having a good time in Bangkok, I saw a familiar face that I have seen on TV. I told Winn about it and he gladly asked John Lloyd to take a picture. Just imagine a foreigner talking to an actor from the Philippines to have our picture taken.

with Marc Nelson

Being star struck in Bangkok, Thailand didn't stop from there. While checking in at Suvarnabhumi International Airport, I saw another familiar face whom I believed was one of the hunk and got the beach body I have seen in one of the TV shows - Sports Unlimited. Winn on the other hand, asked permission to Marc Nelson if we could take a picture of him and he gladly did. He put his arm around me and I got overexcited.

Love 103

Love is in the air! Celebrating Valentine's Day is one of the things I am really looking forward. The husband and I makes it extra and super special whenever we celebrate the Heart's Day. The photo above was taken at the house of my high school adviser for 2 years (3rd year and 4th year). We visited her together with my friends on Christmas Day of 2006.

A Day On The Slopes

Snow skiing is my first winter activity. My wish was finally granted! The weather was nice today although there are some snow flurries and the wind was blowing lightly. I have been telling my husband that I want to try any winter activities to have fun and it is one way to entertain ourselves during wintertime. Therefore, last Tuesday, we went to buy my ski suit and other accessories to prepare for the ski adventure.

I really don't have any idea how snow skiing works so I gladly follow the experienced people and I learned quickly. I felt like I was just gliding and enjoying my time. The slope was so smooth and I was going so fast. The only way I could stop was to fall down but then after a few runs, I learned how to stop without falling down. Sure, my butt was busted several times from falling down but it was still fun and wonderful adventure on the slopes.

What Kind of Kid Are You?

I got this blogthings from Cecile - Down Home With The Kenyons. I thought this might be a good idea what kind of kid am I and I think I am really an outgoing kid as I love to explore anything until today. I love to try different places, things, foods and anything the world has to offer.

You Were an Outgoing Kid

When you were a kid, you had no problem expressing yourself.

There's a good chance you started talking early - and never stopped!

You had a lot of friends, and unlike most kids, you weren't shy around adults.

You were well adjusted and confident. You enjoyed speaking up and participating.

Above Freezing!

We enjoyed the weather today. I checked the temperature online and it says 28 degrees Fahrenheit with the picture of the sun shining. But the husband said, it is 64 degrees Fahrenheit in the sunshine when he checked the temperature outside the house. My husband enjoyed it and even had a slow walk outside after getting the mails from our mailbox. He went to the garage and check my car.

As for me? I didn't stay long. You would probably think why I didn't stay long outside the house and enjoy the nice weather. I was online the whole day playing scrabble online. I had fun. Tomorrow, I will go to a birthday party of a little girl. I wish I will enjoy the food. I guess I will be busy this coming weekend. How about you guys? Did you enjoy the nice weather today?

Love 102

Ten days from today, it will be Valentine's Day! I am sure that all of you are getting excited about it. Planning where to go, where to eat dinner and what would be the perfect gift for our loved ones. I am sure some of you have already a plan and planned the best gift you could ever give to your husband or wife. This month is indeed full of love and happiness!

As for me and Winn, we already have plans where to go on Valentine's Day. We are just hoping for a nice weather so it will not ruin the said plans. The picture above was taken last February 14, 2007. We had fun touring Bohol, Philippines for one whole week.

Extreme Jobs

window cleaner on one of Brisbane's biggest buildings

My husband worked in a coalmine for almost 12 years. In fact, his father and two brothers worked in a coalmine too. It was a booming industry and it pays well. I wonder if people who worked as a window washer on high-rise building are well paid. Health and safety of every worker should be number one priority for all employers. It is a legal requirement and an integral part of risk management. By successfully managing OHS, it will protect the staff and will help to ensure success of every business.

If you want to create a healthy and safe working environment for your employers, you might want to contact Hartman Thomas that specialized in health and safety, workers compensation and emergency management for your business.

Love 101

Since Valentine's Day is fast approaching, I will try to post some pictures of me and Winn to commemorate the month of love. I don't know where we will celebrate our Valentine's Day, but for sure, the husband will take time to drive some place special.

The picture above was taken at Manila Domestic Airport, from Cebu to Manila flight. He left for US February 2007 and came back May 2007. We spent our Heart's Day at Panglao Island, Bohol, Philippines. We are already engaged and we spent one-week vacation in Bohol, Philippines.
